Campus Support Resources

The University of Mississippi supports our students in many different kinds of ways, resulting in an extremely high retention rate of students.

We encourage our students to be involved on campus in order to exercise those skills of communication, leadership, working in a team, taking the initiative, time management, and other skills desired in life and work. Employer surveys tell us that they are more willing to hire college graduates who have had an internship, studied abroad, and engaged in community service. Therefore, we present ways that our university is helping students connect with opportunities off campus that will enrich their college experience and help prepare them for the world afterwards.

Direct students to visit our CLA website of campus-wide resources for:

  • Getting Involved on campus
  • Arts and Culture
  • Taking student education off campus
  • Health and Wellness
  • Registration and Financial Aid
  • Student Advocacy and Support
  • Technology Assistance
  • Learning Support

Academic Advising

All students in the College of Liberal Arts are assigned an academic advisor. Some students, such as those pursuing a health or legal profession after graduation as well as those in special programs, are assigned an additional advisor. Staff across our campus are in continuous training and regular communication with each other to provide the highest quality and care to our students. We want you to be successful and we have the resources and support to help you achieve your goals!

Find more resources about academic advising in the CLA.

Also, be aware of what you can or cannot say regarding student information.
