Supporting CLA Research and Creative Activities

As both the State flagship and an R1 institution, UM provides a unique opportunity to engage in cutting edge research and creative scholarship grounded in improving communities within Mississippi and beyond. In pursuit of that mission, the CLA Research, Scholarship and Graduate Education team is committed to supporting the faculty, staff, and students in CLA as they engage in their research, scholarship, and creative work. We believe in the power of our Liberal Arts community to leverage innovation and creativity for the betterment of our society. To that end, our team supports all external funding efforts from the spark of an idea to the closeout of an award.

Initiatives

CLA supports several initiatives to foster research and creative activity. From interdisciplinary teams training in our INSPiRED program, to our summer seed funding grants. We want our faculty, staff, and students to have the resources and training necessary to support their work and scholarship.
