Accelerated Law Program (3+3)

In a partnership with the UM School of Law, students admitted to the Accelerated Law Program may earn baccalaureate and law degrees in 6 years instead of 7 by using first year law school courses to complete their undergraduate degree. Starting law school during senior year means the timeline begins a year early. First year law courses may count towards the electives for the BA or BS degrees in the College of Liberal Arts.

Interested CLA students should inform their academic advisor for the major in their Freshman year because the academic pathway needs to be carefully planned. Students should meet with a pre-law advisor no later than spring of sophomore year, which marks the beginning of the application process.

Students can take advantage of the Pre-Law Advising Office at UM for individually tailored guidance. For more information, please contact prelaw@olemiss.edu.
