Role and Impact

The College of Liberal Arts Alumni Board is a distinguished group of alumni and friends whose purpose is to help the College fulfill its mission. Board members are dedicated to using their success, expertise, experience, network, and resources to help the College elevate its excellence by:

  • Serving as an advocate and champion for the CLA to increase its impact, visibility, and reputation;
  • Providing guidance and perspectives related to strategic initiatives;
  • Engaging with students and supporting their professional growth;
  • Assisting CLA leadership in building and strengthening external relationships with alumni and other key stakeholders; and
  • Promoting CLA activities and strategic initiatives to obtain financial support.

Board membership is by invitation of the Dean. It meets on campus twice annually to work collaboratively with the Dean and CLA leadership to advocate for the College, provide guidance, engage with students and faculty, assist in networking, and garner support for CLA activities.
