Classics Lecture on Food, Gender and Morals Tues., Nov. 13

The Department of Classics at the University of Mississippi will host lecture given by Tommaso Gazzarri, assistant professor of Classics at the University of Memphis on Tuesday, November 13th at 4:30pm at Holman Hall Auditorium (room 30).  The title of the lecture is, “Der Mensch Ist, Was er is(s)t:”  Food, Gender Construction, and Moral Teaching in Seneca’s Epistulae Morales.  Dr. Gazzarri received his Ph.D. in 2010 at Yale University, and his areas of interest are Silver Latin literature, Roman comedy, Roman stoicism, ancient rhetoric, ancient law and ancient medicine.  For more information, or if you require special assistance relating to a disability, call 662-915-1152.
