Brown Bag Lecture to Focus on Civil Rights and the University of Mississippi

Dr. David Sansing, Professor Emeritus of History, will speak in the Faulkner Room, 3rd floor of the J.D. Williams Library, at noon on Oct. 13th.

His presentation entitled, “Meredith and Ole Miss: A Pivotal Moment in the Civil Rights Movement,” will address the events of the fall of 1962 and its lasting impact upon the University and the Civil Rights Movement in general.

This Special Collections event formally introduces a new exhibition, “‘We Shall Always March Ahead’: Mississippi and the Civil Rights Movement,” which will remain up in the Faulkner Room through September 2012.
